Send another message to the City Council. The Council wants to hear that you support a 4-way stop sign at Valle Verde and Solera/Vinter Way. Three years ago when we were defeated, the Council cited the numerous letters they received from opponents of the stop signs; yet 2-3 opponents sent multiple letters each! The Council counts the number of letters and the number of residents. So, here are the three easy steps to send a letter:

Dear Poway City Councilmembers, I am writing in support of a 4-way stop sign at the intersection of Valle Verde and Solera/Vinter Way. Thank you for approving the traffic study of this dangerous intersection. I was pleased to hear that the City Traffic Engineer and the Traffic Committee have recommended a 4-way stop sign. Please support their recommendation and vote Yes at the October 18 City Council meeting. This intersection has inadequate sight lines for traffic trying to turn left from either Solera or Vinter onto Valle Verde. And pedestrians, including our neighborhood children, cannot safely cross the street - even in the crosswalk! Please help us improve the safety of our neighborhood so our children can walk to school, we can walk and exercise along Valle Verde, and drivers can access Valle Verde without fear of the vehicle that may be just around the blind curve.
